2021 has been a year of many significant dates and anniversaries in the life of the Russian Church Abroad. Among these is the 15th anniversary of the IV All-Diaspora Council, which became a key moment in the process of restoring the unity of the Russian Church, lost in the 1920s. Archpriest Victor Potapov, Rector of St John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington, D.C. and a participant in those events, recounts how the discussions preceding the unification took place, how sharp differences of view were raised within the ROCOR itself, and how they were eventually overcome.

Одна из них – 15-летие IV Всезарубежного Собора, который стал ключевым моментом в процессе восстановления единства Русской Церкви, утраченного в 1920-е годы. О том, как проходило обсуждение вопроса о предстоящем объединении, как неожиданно возникли резкие противоречия внутри самой РПЦЗ и каким образом удалось их устранить, рассказал участник тех событий, настоятель собора Святого Иоанна Предтечи в Вашингтоне протоиерей Виктор Потапов.
