On Friday evening, August 20 2021, the newly formed youth chamber choir “Osanna” held its debut concert in St. Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City. The concert was attended by the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America & New York, and Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan.
Cathedral dean Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov) and Priest Mark Rashkov welcomed the attendees to the cathedral and spoke on the significance of the date the concert was being held – the day of the martyric death of the Holy Hieromartyr Alexander (Hotovitsky; +1937), first rector of the Patriarchal cathedral.
The choir, under the direction of John Arlievsky, delighted the guests with selections from pre-revolutionary Russia, such as Pavel Chesnokov and Sergei Rachmaninoff, to the modern day compositions of Arvo Pärt and Alfred Schnittke. The concert was sponsored by the Patriarch Tikhon Russian-American Music Institute (PaTRAM). With a thunderous round of applause, the organizers thanked all those gathered for their support.
A reception was then held in the cathedral hall, where interaction continued.

Вечером в пятницу, 20 августа 2021 г., новообразованный молодежный камерный хор “Осанна” выступил с дебютным концертом в Св. Николаевском Патриаршем соборе гор. Нью-Йорк. В концерте приняли участие Первоиерарх Русской Зарубежной Церкви митрополит Восточно-Американский и Нью-Йоркский Иларион и викарий Восточно-Американской епархии епископ Манхэттенский Николай.
Ключарь собора игумен Никодим (Балясников) и иерей Марк Рашков приветствовали собравшихся и рассказали о значении даты проведения концерта – дня мученической кончины священномученика Александра (Хотовицкого; +1937 г.), первого настоятеля Патриаршего собора.
Хор под управлением Иоанна Арлиевского порадовал гостей отрывками из произведений как дореволюционной России – Павла Чеснокова и Сергея Рахманинова, так и современных произведений – Арво Пярта и Альфреда Шнитке. Концерт прошел при поддержке Российско-американского музыкального института Патриарха Тихона (Patram). Бурными аплодисментами организаторы поблагодарили всех собравшихся за поддержку.
Затем в соборном зале состоялся прием, на котором продолжилось общение.
